OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – SIUE golf finished the fall portion of its schedule with a fourth-place finish at UMKC's Bill Ross Intercollegiate completed Tuesday at Milburn Golf and Country Club.
The Cougars finished at 886 for the 54-hole event. Grand Canyon won the team title with a combined 871. Host UMKC finished second at 876. South Dakota took third at 878.
Individually, four SIUE golfers finished in the top 25. Brady Dixon led the way at 219 (+3). He tied for sixth place. Danny Gorman tied for 16th place with a 222. Austin Glendinning was a stroke behind Gorman and tied for 19th place. Kyle Slattery finished alone in 23rd place with a 224. Jordan Harre (225) tied for 24th and Conor Dore tied for 59th place with a 234.
Grand Canyon's Vinnie Murphy took home medalist honors with a five-under par 211. Matt Tolan of South Dakota finished second at 214 (-2). Missouri State's Jack Knoesel took third place with a 215 (-1).
SIUE will resume its schedule Feb. 25-26 when its travels to Goodyear, Arizona for the Loyola Intercollegiate.
