EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE softball's Paige Rocha has been honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as a third team All-Mideast Region shortstop.

A sophomore from Platte City, Missouri, Rocha led the Cougars with a .416 batting average and scored a team-leading 47 runs. She recorded 14 doubles, two triple, six home runs and tied for the team lead in RBIs with 30. Rocha also led the team in walks with 19, slugging percentage at .618 and on-base percentage at .475.

Her 74 hits is the most by an SIUE player in the Division I era and is the most by a Cougar since Alicia DeShasier hit 82 in 2006. The 74 hits ranks her in the top 10 among Division I players as of the time of the award.

A first team All-Ohio Valley Conference pick, Rocha also was one of three SIUE players named to the All-Tournament team as the Cougars finished runner-up at the 2023 OVC Championships in Oxford, Alabama.
