SIUE Cross Country ready to run at the 2019 Bradley 'Pink' Classic

SIUE Cross Country ready to run at the 2019 Bradley 'Pink' Classic

The SIUE men's and women's Cross Country teams are confident after coming off a good race in bad conditions at the Loyola Lakefront Invitiational in Chicago, IL.  Despite the team having two season bests and a personal record finish time, Coach Moore feels like the best is yet to come.

"We had some great performances at Loyola, but the conditions did not quite allow us to post some of the times that I know we are capable of."

The women will be competing in their first 6k of the season.  Both teams will be facing some of the same competition they faced at Loyola and at the SIUE John Flamer Invitational in September.  This race will be a good test before the OVC Conference Championships at the SIUE home course November 2nd.

"We have been able to put in a couple great weeks of training focusing on strength and speed as we close in on the end of the regular season."

The 2019 Bradley 'Pink' Invitational will be run on the Newman Golf Course.  The Newman Golf Course is a USTFCCCA certified course and has hosted the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA Midwest Regional Championships.  The course is historically fast and extremely spectator friendly. The Men's Red Race (A Race) will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by the Women's Red Race (A Race) at 3:15 p.m.

"We will be facing some really great competition, so I am looking forward to seeing us rise to the occasion."
