         ST. LOUIS - Greg Ross pumped in 18 points as Missouri-St. Louis defeated Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 74-58 in men's Great Lakes Valley Conference basketball action Wednesday night.
         SIUE, 4-8 and 1-5 in the GLVC, committed 25 turnovers to UMSL's nine. Despite playing even in the second half, UMSL's 16-point halftime lead was too much to handle.
         Marty Perry was the highlight for the Cougars with a 22-point effort. Tim Rose added 11 points for SIUE.
         Greg Ross led the Rivermen with 18 points.
         SIUE's next action is Saturday when it travels to Quincy for a 7:30 p.m. game.
