         Despite a game-high 21 points from Marty Perry, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's basketball team fell 81-66 to IUPU-Ft. Wayne on Thursday night.
         SIUE fell to 4-14 overall and 1-11 in the GLVC. The Cougars have now lost nine straight games. IPFW improved to 7-15 overall and 4-8 in the GLVC.
         Perry was joined in double figures scoring by Garrett Thomas with 13 and Nick Hartwig with 12.
         Brad Noll paced the Mastodons with 19 points to lead four IPFW players in double figures. IPFW shot well in both halves from the field, finishing the game hitting 33 of 57 shots (57.9 percent).
         SIUE's next action is Saturday afternoon as it travels to Rensselaer, Ind., for a 3:15 game against Saint Joseph's.
