EDWARDSVILLE - Four Cougars finished in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Cougars fell to No. 16 Southern Indiana 77-63 this evening in the Vadalabene Center.
         SIUE, 16-6 overall and 11-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, led by as many as seven in the first half. Southern Indiana cut into the lead and went ahead 25-23 on a basket by Jessica Stuckman with 1:36 remaining in the first half. The Cougars entered the half down by four, but the Screaming Eagles went on a 10-4 run in the first three minutes of the second half to break the game open. SIUE finished the night shooting 35.4 percent (17-48) while Southern Indiana shot 42.2 percent (27-64). Southern Indiana improves to 19-3 overall and 13-3 in the conference.
         Misi Clark pumped in 15 points to lead the team while grabbing seven boards and recording six assists. Crystal Gladson was 5 of 8 from the field and 4 of 4 from the line to score 14 points. Sarah Cook finished with 13 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Jessica Robert contributed with 10 points and five rebounds.
         Natalie Glaser led the Screaming Eagles with 18 points while Bethany Miller came off the bench and recorded 11 points. Jasmine Moore and Jessica Stuckman each added 10 points.
         The Cougars return to conference action on Thursday when they travel to Lewis for a 5:30 p.m. game.
