The SIUE men's soccer team suffered its first defeat this past weekend. Christian Brothers University defeated SIUE 4-1. Justin Huneke (Glen Carbon) had the goal for SIUE.
         SIUE Coach Ed Huneke new that the game would be a difficult one. Christian Brothers ranked No. 15 in the nation.
         Huneke felt that the Cougar's efforts were good but that SIUE was not on the same level for that game.
         This weekend the Cougars are traveling to third-ranked Lewis University. "Lewis is an excellent team," said Huneke. "From this point on all of our games are conference or regional opponents. These will be the really important games that will take us on the road of playoff bids and championships."
