Sarah Schweers and Megan Grizzle came off the bench to score double figures as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville downed Quincy University 55-48 in college basketball action Thursday night.
         Schweers scored 12 and Grizzle added 10 to power the Cougars offensively. Ruth Kipping scored a team-best 13 points despite fouling out with five minutes to play.
         SIUE (10-7, 8-3 GLVC) kept pace in the GLVC race and will sit idle on Saturday while the rest of the 11-team conference has league games. Quincy fell to 9-7 and 5-5 in the GLVC.
         Both teams suffered poor shooting games. The Cougars came in at 34.8 percent while Quincy managed just 35.2 percent. Quincy had missed 12 of its first 13 shots in the game.
         Courtney Vonderhaar led the Hawks with 16 points.
