Jessica Robert scored a career-high 24 points but it wasn't enough as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville lost to Saint Joseph's 89-81 Saturday night at the Vadalabene Center.
         Robert hit six three-pointers for SIUE (11-8, 9-4 GLVC). Ruth Kipping scored 19 points despite playing just 19 minutes because of foul trouble.
         Saint Joseph's (5-14, 4-9 GLVC) erased a 10-game losing streak with the win. Heather Allen scored 22 for the winning Pumas.
         The Pumas took a 44-32 lead at halftime and never looked back. Saint Joseph's converted 27 of 31 free throw opportunities and shot 49 percent for the game.
         The Cougars now head to Northern Kentucky for a road contest with the Norse on Thursday.
