Josh Hickam (Granite City) scored in the 13th minute to lift the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's soccer team past the visiting Lewis Flyers 1-0 Sunday.
         SIUE moves to 9-4-2 overall and 7-2-1 in the GLVC. Lewis, who has already clinched the GLVC regular-season title, falls to 13-4 and 8-2 in the conference.
         Hickam headed a free kick from Chris Camacho (Quincy) past the Lewis goalkeeper Jordan Gustman for the lone goal of the game.
         Cougar goalkeeper Matt Evers (Edwardsville) posted the shutout while making four saves.
         SIUE will host non-conference opponent Missouri-Rolla on Friday at Korte Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
