ROLLA, Mo. - Amber Wisdom's (Geneseo) jumped with 3:12 to play broke a tie as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville went on to defeat Missouri-Rolla 64-60 in women's college basketball action.
         SIUE evened its overall record to 3-3. Missouri-Rolla dropped to 2-5.
         It was Wisdom's only field goal of the game as she finished with five points
         Ruth Kipping (Quincy) led the Cougars in scoring with 20 points. Liz DeShasier (Carrollton) and Jessica Robert (Carlyle) also recorded double figures in scoring with 16 and 14, respectively. Roberts added eight assists and three steals.
         Leah Kessenich paced the Lady Miners with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Leah Maunus also had 15 points for Missouri-Rolla.
         SIUE, which had a season-low 12 turnovers, led 31-25 at halftime and held a 10-point lead midway through the second half. Missouri-Rolla stayed in the game with its rebounding, topping the Cougars 43-29 in boards.
         SIUE returns to action next Thursday when it plays Illinois-Springfield with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff at the Vadalabene Center.
