Southern Illinois University Edwardsville led from start to finish as it downed Northwood 77-64 in the GLVC-GLIAC Women's Basketball Challenge in Evansville, Ind.
         SIUE, 5-4, was led by Ruth Kipping, who scored 20 points and added 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Jaque Howard added 16 points off the bench for the Cougars. Liz DeShasier also finished in double figures with 12 points for SIUE.
         Kyleen Hipp powered Northwood, 3-7, with 15 points.
         The Cougars jumped out to a 37-28 lead at halftime after leading by as much as 17 in the first half.
         SIUE returns to Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Thursday as they entertain Missouri-St. Louis in a 5:30 p.m.
         contest at the Vadalabene Center.
