Southern Indiana Sweeps Past SIUE

Billy Harris recorded a double-double as Southern Indiana defeated Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 86-73 in men's college basketball action Thursday night
Harris scored 19 points and added 11 rebounds for Southern Indiana (18-5, 11-4 GLVC). SIUE fell to 7-15 overall and 3-13 in GLVC play.
Three other USI starters finished with double figures in scoring. Wes Attebury scored 17 points with a game-high six assists and five steals. Ronnie Griffin pumped in 16 and Cris Brunson added 13.
The Cougars were powered by Ron Heflin, who scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
SIUE hopes to shed its five-game losing streak on Saturday as it faces rival Missouri-St. Louis at 7:30 p.m.
