The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's soccer team rolled past the Norse of Northern Kentucky today 3-1 at Korte Stadium. The win moves SIUE to a record of 5-2-1 overall, and a 4-0 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
         Josh Hickham (Granite City) started the scoring in the seventh minute off a pass from Yuzuru Takami (Japan). After NKU's Jeff Anderson tied the game at one, Mike Ngonyani scored his team-high sixth goal in the 80th minute. Sean Huneke (Glen Carbon) added an insurance goal two minutes later of a Takami pass.
         Matt Evers (Edwardsville) was credited with the victory in net, as he recorded three saves.
         Next, the Cougars travel to Bellarmine for a Friday night match, then to Kentucky Wesleyan for a Sunday match.
