Despite shooting 52 percent from the field, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's Cougars lost 78-70 to Saint Joseph's on Thursday night at the Vadalabene Center.
         The Cougars (6-8, 3-5 GLVC) never found their rhythm in committing 22 turnovers to Saint Joseph's 13. SIUE were within two points in the second half but did not tie the game in the final 20 minutes of play.
         SIUE was led by 15 points off the bench from Megan Grizzle, who was 7 of 7 from the field. LaKesha Cole pumped in 14 points off the bench while starters Ruth Kipping and Amber Wisdom scored 12 each.
         Saint Joseph's (7-8, 4-4 GLVC) used a balanced attack against the Cougars and outscored SIUE 22-9 off turnovers.
         Courtney Rosenbaum led four players in double figures with 13 points.
         SIUE's next action is Saturday at 1 p.m. as the Cougars take on Wisconsin-Parkside at the Vadalabene Center.
