Julianne McMillen recorded her third double-double of the season as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville crushed Greenville College 86-58 in women's college basketball on Thursday.
         SIUE, 5-3, led from start to finish and extended its lead throughout the game. McMillen led all scorers with 21 points and 15 rebounds.
         With the loss, Greenville falls to 3-5.
         After jumping out to a 40-23 lead at halftime, SIUE Coach Wendy Hedberg pulled back on the starters and gave the Cougar bench some quality minutes on the floor.
         Sara Unterbrink responded with 12 points off the bench, including two three-pointers.
         Jessica Robert was the only other player for SIUE in double figures with 16 in a starting role.
         Greenville's Julie Kaufmann led the Panthers with 13 points.
         SIUE shot just 39.7 percent from the field yet hit 11 of 24 (45.8 percent) from three-point range. SIUE's 11 three-point field goals made broke a school record, which was previously set in the 1997-1998 season against Bellarmine. Its 24 three-point field goals attempted tied a school record that has been accomplished two other times. Six different Cougars scored three-pointers in the victory.
         SIUE's next action is Dec. 19 in Midland, Mich., against Northwood in a Great Lakes region contest. The Cougars also play regional rival Ferris State (Mich.) on Dec. 20.
