KENOSHA, Wis. - Wisconsin-Parkside led by as many as 16 points in the first half to defeat Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 73-59 Thursday night.
       It was the eighth straight loss for the Cougars, who are now 7-15 overall and 3-12 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Wisconsin-Parkside improved to 12-10, 7-8.
       Ron Jones led all scorers with 16 points. He was a perfect 4 for 4 from three-point range and led all scorers. Justin Ward added 15 points off the bench.
       Dean Pogodzinski led UWP with 15 points.
       SIUE's next action is Saturday with a 3 p.m. start at Lewis.
