Poor Shooting Dooms Cougars

         ST. LOUIS - Two nights after one of its best shooting performances of the season, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's basketball team have everything even out.
         SIUE shot a season-low 27.5 percent from the field in a 60-39 loss to Missouri-St. Louis. The Cougars also were 2 of 19 from three-point range (10.5 percent). The Cougars had shot better than 58 percent on Thursday in a win at Quincy.
         The Cougars picked up 12 points from Ruth Kipping but found no other offense. Sarah Schweers was next with seven points.
         UMSL was steady throughout, hitting 13 of 31 from the field in both halves. Jessica Woods and Ebonie Halliburton led the Riverwomen with 12 points each.
         SIUE returns home to the Vadalabene Center for its final two home games of the season. SIUE entertains Kentucky Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Bellarmine at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
