Honolulu, Hawaii. - Lindy Carey recorded a double-double, but it wasn't enough as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville lost to 21st-ranked West Texas A&M 64-52 on Sunday at the Hoop-n-Surf Classic.
         Carey netted 11 points with 15 rebounds. The Cougars fall to 5-6 on the season, while the Buffaloes improve to 5-2.
         Julianne McMillen led SIUE with 13 points, and Tanya Guell notched 11.
         SIUE struggled from the field shooting 31 percent (20-64), and 17 percent(3-17) from beyond the three-point arc. The Cougars also committed 19 turnovers in the game.
         SIUE faces Harding tomorrow in the Hoop-n-Surf Classic at 1 p.m. (5 p.m. CST)
