EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - Annie Miller recorded the first double-double of her career as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville blasted Harris Stowe 82-48 on Wednesday night at the Vadalabene Center.
         The Cougars improved to 5-4 with the win while Harris Stowe falls to 3-8.
         Miller had career highs with 11 points and 11 boards. Alisa Carillo netted a career-high 14 points, as did Jamie Kennedy, who notched nine points. Julianne McMillen was five of seven from the field for 14 points, and Whitney Sykes canned three three-pointers to finish with 11 points.
         SIUE picked up a total of 49 points from their bench in the game. The Cougars led in points in the paint 46-12 over Harris Stowe. The Hornets committed 32 turnovers in the contest and shot 30 percent from the field. SIUE outrebounded the Hornets 43-34.
         Laniya Stevens lead Harris Stowe with 14 points shooting six of 19 from the field.
         The Cougars jump back into Great Lakes Valley Conference play as they travel to Northern Kentucky on Saturday to face the Norse. Tip-off time is 1 p.m.
