Tim Bauersachs notched his second double-double in as many games as SIU Edwardsville cruised to a 83-63 victory over Missouri-St. Louis Saturday at the Vadalabene Center.
         Bauersachs, who recorded the first double-double of his career Thursday against Southern Indiana, scored 14 points and collected 10 rebounds on the day.
         SIUE took a 20-point lead into halftime, and UMSL only got as close as 15 in the second half. Jonathan Griffin led the Rivermen with 17 points and David Watkins added 11.
         Ron Jones led SIUE (14-11, 10-9 GLVC) with 22 points. Dan Heimos contributed a career-high 14 points. Tyler Hackstadt also scored 14 for the Cougars, who have already clinched a GLVC Tournament appearance.
         Andre Thomas registered a career-high seven assists and Heimos tied a career high with seven boards.
         SIUE, which boasts the top-ranked defense in the league, held Missouri-St. Louis to 30-percent shooting on the afternoon. UMSL managed only five field goals in the first half.
         The Cougars will face non-conference foe Lincoln on Wednesday at the Vadalabene Center before facing Lewis on Saturday in the GLVC regular-season finale. Wednesday's tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
