Tyler Hackstadt led five Southern Illinois University Edwardsville players in double figures Wednesday night as the Cougars dominated Lincoln 83-58 at the Vadalabene Center in a non-conference battle.
         SIUE improved to 15-11 under Coach Marty Simmons and guaranteed its first above .500 season since the 1997-1998 campaign when the Cougars finished 18-9. The Cougars play their regular season finale on Saturday against Lewis. Game time is 3 p.m.
         The Cougars used its usual mark of strong defense and a season-best 67.9 percent shooting performance.
         Hackstadt led all scorers with 20 points. He was followed by Joel Jaye and Tim Bauersachs with 13 points each. Andre Thomas scored 12 points, Dan Heimos finished with 10 points.
         Calvin Sykes dished out a team-leading eight assists for SIUE.
         Brandon Jones was the lone player in double figures with 19 points.
