Cougars Blank Lewis 3-0

         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville surged for three goals in the second-half and blanked Lewis on Friday at Korte Stadium.
         The 3-0 victory was the seventh shutout of the season for the Cougars. Nicholas Frasca recorded shutout in goal with three saves.
         With a 0-0 tied after one half, SIUE began to press early in the second half. SIUE scored twice within two minutes on goals from Trevor House and Victor Pacheco. Ameen Attas came off the bench to score his first goal of the season at 74:20.
         SIUE edged Lewis in shots 14-8.
         The Cougars return to action Sunday against No. 17-ranked UW-Parkside. Play kicks off at 2:30 p.m.
