         QUINCY - Jessica Stuckman led all scorers with 21 points as Quincy upended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 79-52 in Great Lakes Valley Conference women's basketball on Thursday.
         The Hawks strengthened its hold on first place to improve to 16-7 overall and 13-3 in the GLVC. SIUE, suffering its fifth straight loss, now shares eighth place with Southern Indiana with a 5-10 mark in league play. The Cougars are 10-14 overall.
         Quincy raced to a 43-21 lead at halftime by hitting 8 of 10 three-pointers. Alex Wieser pumped in 18 points off the bench for Quincy.
         SIUE was led by Lindy Carey and Julianne McMillen, who scored 11 points each.
         The Cougar next travel to face Missouri-St. Louis. Game time on Saturday is 5:30 p.m.
