EVANSVILLE, IND. - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville committed 22 turnovers Friday and were eliminated from the Great Lakes Valley Conference women's basketball tournament in a 59-44 loss to top-seeded Quincy University.
         The Cougars complete the season with a 12-18 record.
         Quincy, 20-8, led by five points at the end of halftime and then went on an 8-0 run to start the second half at Roberts Stadium. The Hawks led by double digits for most of the second half.
         Julianne McMillen led SIUE's scoring with 10 points. Tiffany Sproat added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.
         Quincy's Lindsay Anderson led all scorers with 12 points, including three three-pointers. Jenny Wisser pumped in 11, and Alicia Ordner added 10.
         SIUE fell behind early in the ballgame 13-3, scoring only an Amber Wisdom basket and free throw in the first fine minutes of play. The Cougars raced back and took their only lead of the game at 21-20 on a jumper and a free throw by Tanya Guell with 5:02 left.
         It would be SIUE's final field goal of the first half as Quincy regained the momentum, taking a five-point halftime lead.
