OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville couldn't overcome foul trouble and turnovers on Thursday in a 77-72 loss to Kentucky Wesleyan.
         SIUE, 7-7 and 1-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, committed 18 turnovers, which turned into 21 points for Kentucky Wesleyan. The Panthers improved to 7-7 and 3-4 in the GLVC. KWC hit 17 of 25 free throws while SIUE hit just 9 of 15.
         Both teams were hot from the field. SIUE shot nearly 55 percent from the field and nailed 7 of 11 from three-point range. KWC hit 50 percent of its shots from the field.
         Becky Tenholder, a freshman forward, came off the bench for 15 points and two blocks. Alisa Carrillo also had 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting.
         Megan Fletcher led the Panthers with 20 points. Holly Mills turned in a double-double for KWC with 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
         Thursday's game also marked the return from injury of Amber Wisdom. The senior point guard played 10 minutes, scored a three-pointer and dished out a pair of assists.
