         KENOSHA, WIS. - Just two days after its worst field goal percentage in a game, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's basketball team posted its best of the season in a 69-57 victory at UW-Parkside.
         SIUE shot 55.6 percent from the field in improving its season record to 10-9 overall and 4-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UW-Parkside suffered its fifth straight loss and fell to 1-10 in league play and 4-15 overall.
         Allison Fogle led all scorers with 19 points, tying her season best. Fogle shot 8 of 11 from the field and 3 of 5 from three-point range in 19 minutes played. The reigning GLVC Player of the Week rebounded from a tough night on Thursday where she was held without a field goal.
         Julianne McMillen turned in a strong afternoon as well with 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting. She added a game-high eight rebounds.
         The two teams battled close in the first half as Fogle scored 13 of her point in the half. SIUE led by as many as 10 points on a 16-6 run that included all three of Fogle's three-pointers.
         The Cougars looked to McMillen in the second half as she was 5 for 5 from the field. SIUE rallied to as big of a lead as 19 points as it picked up its first GLVC road victory of the season.
         SIUE now returns home to the Vadalabene Center on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. matchup against Northern Kentucky.
