TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville closed the exhibition women's basketball season Wednesday with an 85-72 loss at Indiana State.
         Allison Fogle scored 16 off the bench to lead SIUE in scoring. Whitney Sykes and Amber Shelton added 15 each for SIUE. The Cougars open the regular season at the Vadalabene Center next Wednesday against Illinois-Springfield.
         The Cougars were down by five points at halftime, but the Sycamores surged in the second half with four players in double figures led by 18 points from Annie Bankhead.
