SIUE's Win Streak Ends at 25

         WHEELING, W.V. - It took extra innings as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville softball's winning streak has been snapped at 25 games.
         SIUE, 28-4, won its first game Sunday with a 4-1 victory over West Liberty State and the fell to Gannon 5-2 in eight innings.
         Kaitlin Colosimo improved her record to 9-0 with a win out of the bullpen in game one. The Cougars took advantage of four West Liberty State errors and stole nine bases in the win.
         In the nightcap, Gannon's Joanna Fergus launched a two-run homer in the first inning. SIUE countered with a two-run double in the fourth inning by Jodie Ohlau. Headed to extra innings, Gannon struck hard with a three-run eighth led by a two-run double by Kara Hensley.
         SIUE returns to Great Lakes Valley Conference play next weekend at Northern Kentucky on Saturday and at Bellarmine on Sunday.
