         INDIANAPOLIS -- Despite a 29-point effort from senior forward Mike Hardiek, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville dropped a 69-67 decision at Indianapolis Saturday in men's Great Lakes Valley Conference basketball action.
         Hardiek hit 10 of 16 from the field, including four three-pointers as SIUE's record fell to 10-7 overall and 6-4 in the GLVC. Indianapolis gained a 10-6 record and a 6-3 mark in the GLVC.
         DeAndre Brock led Indianapolis with 18 points, including a crucial three-pointer with 55 seconds left in the game.
         SIUE held a 15-point lead midway through the second half when Asa Clayborne hit one of SIUE;s 10 three-pointers. SIUE led 24-9 with 7:21 to play. Indianapolis went on a 16-2 run to finish off the half and head to the locker room behind the Cougars 26-25.
         Indianapolis hit 14 of 26 shots in the second half and committed just three turnovers in the second half. SIUE had four turnovers in the second half.
         SIUE next returns to the Vadalabene Center Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. matchup against Drury.
