Drury Holds Off Cougars

         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Brandon Kimbrough hit a key jumper with 13 seconds left as Drury held off Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 60-57 Thursday at the Vadalabene Center in men's college basketball.
         SIUE, now 10-8 overall and 6-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, tied the game for the fourth time on a pair of free throws by J.B. Jones with 42 seconds left. Kimbrough answered with a jumper with 13 seconds left. Adam White hit one of two free throws with one second left to put Drury up by a three.
         White's second free throw missed. SIUE's Clint Burris rebounded the ball with less than a second left and hurled it the length of the floor, hitting the top of the backboard.
         It was a struggle for the Cougars, who were held scoreless for the first four minutes of the game as Drury grabbed a 7-0 lead. Although that lead was cut to one point within 90 seconds, it seemed as if SIUE was playing catch-up all game.
         SIUE fell behind 30-23 by halftime. Drury's lead often was down to a one-possession game only to see it return to a seven or eight-point lead.
         Jones led the Cougars with 14 points. Nick Arth and Mike Hardiek added 13 points each.
         Kimbrough powered the Panther offense with 12 points.
