Cougars Roll Over Reddies 76-53

         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- T.J. Gray led Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with 15 points as the Cougars rolled over Henderson State 76-53 in men's college basketball action Monday night.
         SIUE, 4-3, displayed a balanced scoring attack against the Reddies, 1-8. Eleven different players scored for the Cougars. Anthony Jones and Doug Taylor joined Gray in double figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
         The Cougars were in control by midway through the first half with a 15-2 run. SIUE went up by 14 points at 31-17 on a jumper by Taylor with 5:47 left in the half.
         SIUE kept the pressure on Henderson State in the second half, gaining a 20-point lead for the first time at the 14:23 mark. Anthony Jones hit a jumper and converted a free throw on a Henderson State fould by Dontavis Jones.
         Antoine Vinson put up the biggest offensive numbers of the night for Henderson State with 22 points.
         The Cougars' defense picked up 16 steals off Henderson State's 24 turnovers. SIUE's bench outscored Henderson State's bench 37-9.
         SIUE returns to the Vadalabene Center Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. game against Truman State.
