Drury Defeats Cougars 76-61

         SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Drury men's basketball, ranked No. 7 in the latest NABC/NCAA Division II poll, turned in a 76-61 victory over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Saturday at Weiser Gym.
           The Cougars fell to 7-5 overall and 1-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury improved its season record to 13-1 overall and remained undefeated in league play at 6-0.
           SIUE's T.J. Gray led all scorers with 23 points. The senior hits five three-pointers and dished out three assists. Anthony Jones joined Gray in double figures with 14 points. The Cougars hit 10 three-pointers for the game.
           Collins Harris led four Drury starters in double figures with 21 points and nine rebounds.
           Drury grabbed a nine-point lead at halftime and held the Cougars to within six points in the second half. One of Gray's three-pointers cut the score to 54-48 with 6:46 to play. The Panthers pushed hard late behind 17 points from Chris Ijames and 16 from Adam White.
           SIUE returns home to the Vadalabene Center Thursday as it takes on Indianapolis in a 7:30 p.m. game.
