EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - In a match that featured five lead changes and two ties to the team score, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and South Dakota State dueled to a 23-23 tie in collegiate wrestling at the Vadalabene Center.

SIUE, 0-10-1, and SDSU, 1-6-1, both won five matches during the contest.

SIUE picked up a pair of first-period falls from Brendan Murphy at 133 pounds and Dillon Pousson at 141 pounds. Murphy dispatched Tyler Johnson in 1:01. Pousson pinned Dustin Walraven in 1:47.

The Cougars also received victories from Steve Ross at 165 pounds, Robert Cooney at 184 pounds and David Devine at heavyweight.

Next up for SIUE is a road trip to Northwestern. Match time Friday is 7 p.m.
