CHICAGO, Ill. - David Devine (Petersburg) recorded a victory at heavyweight but Southern Illinois University Edwardsville dropped a 28-15 dual match at Northwestern.
Devine defeated Northwestern's Marcus Shrewsbury 6-1. SIUE wrestling, 1-11-1, also collected two forfeit victories at 125 pounds and 141 pounds.
Northwestern, 5-6-1, was unable to capture any falls in the match, However, the Wildcats' Brian Roddy garnered the team's only technical fall over Tim Mahoney (Joliet) at 174 pounds.
SIUE's next dual match is this Thursday against Central Missouri. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Vadalabene Center.
