MURRAY, Ky. - Future Ohio Valley Conference foe Murray State handed SIUE a 7-0 loss Saturday in women's college tennis.

SIUE dropped to 1-5 for the season while Murray State earned its first win of the year for a 1-1 record.

The Cougars missed an opportunity to take the first two singles matches. Carli Connors won the first set over Murray State's Angela McGahee 6-1 but then fell in the next two sets 6-3, 6-4.

SIUE's Maggie Boeckman split the first two sets Murray State's Cassidy Cunitz at No. 2 singles. Both were scores of 6-4. Cunitz won the third set 6-3.

Murray State also swept all three of the doubles matches.

The Cougars now head to Carbondale to take on Southern Illinois Carbondale. Match time Sunday is 10 a.m.
