EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The SIUE men's and women's tennis teams will play host to a local rival Saturday, when they welcome Saint Louis to the Edwardsville YMCA.

The women's match will start at 4:30 p.m.  The men's match will begin at approximately 8 p.m.

This weekend's competition will be the second consecutive home dual match for the Cougars, who hosted Northern Illinois last Sunday.

On the men's side, SIUE (3-1) handed the Huskies their first loss in seven matches with a 4-3 victory.

Sophomore Stephen Washuta clinched the win for the Cougars with a straight sets victory over Maksym Lagutin (6-2, 6-2).  Jacob Tanulanond and Nico Kuehn also earned singles victories for SIUE.

The SIUE women suffered a 7-0 loss to Northern Illinois, and will be looking to improve their 2-3 record Saturday against the Billikens.

Saint Louis' men's team comes into the weekend at 1-4 while the Billiken women currently sit at 2-3.
