EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The SIUE women's tennis team will kick off Ohio Valley Conference competition this weekend with back-to-back road matches against UT Martin and Southeast Missouri.

The Cougars will face off with UT Martin at 2 p.m. (CT) Saturday before taking on Southeast Missouri Sunday at noon.

SIUE (4-7) is coming off three matches in Orlando, Fla. last week as part of the team's spring break trip.  The Cougars lost hard-fought duals to Providence and Presbyterian but rebounded to defeat Ohio Dominican 5-2.

Freshman Monique Krutak continues to lead the Cougars and was honored as OVC Athlete of the Week earlier this week.  She currently posts a 9-1 record in singles and a 7-4 mark in doubles.

Sophomore Kali Donner also performed well in Orlando, winning a pair of singles matches as well as a doubles match.

UT Martin comes into the weekend at 1-8 while Southeast Missouri currently posts a record of 2-2.
