Box Score EDWARDSDVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's tennis won every match of the day against Western Illinois, securing a dominant 7-0 victory.
The Cougars improve their spring record to 4-3.
"Our focus today was to come out with a lot of energy and keep our unforced errors to a minimum," said Head Coach Amanda Pratzel. "We followed through with our game plan for the day."
The doubles pair of Mia Frogner and Monique Krutak had another strong showing, improving to 5-1 this in the spring. Kali Donner and Haley Ilcewicz won 6-0 in their first match playing together.
All six singles players won in two sets for the Cougars. Lexi Aranda and Sierra Halverson each improve to 5-2. Frogner improves to 5-1. Donner, returning after an injury, is now 2-1.
The Cougars are off until Friday, Feb. 20, when they travel to Carbondale to play the Salukis of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
"With two weeks off, we have time to relax and focus our attention on our next match and work on individual things," said Pratzel.
