O'FALLON, Ill. – SIUE women's tennis suffered a 5-2 loss to Saint Louis Friday at the St. Clair Tennis Club.

SIUE moves to 1-2 during the spring season.

SIUE won all three doubles matches. Mia Frogner and Madeline Hill played at the No. 1 position, winning 6-2. At the No. 2 spot was Lexi Aranda and Sierra Halverson, overcoming their opponents 7-5. Monique Krutak and McKenzie Thomas won 7-6 at the No. 3 position.

Freshman Ann-Christine Link earned the sole singles victory from the No. 6 position, winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.

SIUE returns to Edwardsville Saturday for its first home match of the season. They face Evansville at 2 p.m. at the Edwardsville YMCA.
