Cougars Earn Top Four-Finish at Missouri

Final Results

COLUMBIA, Mo. – SIUE golf finished its regular season on a high note, capturing its fourth consecutive fourth-place or better finish. The Cougars took fourth at the 18-team Missouri Tiger Invitational, completed Tuesday at Old Hawthorne.

SIUE used a third-round 296 to finish at 893. Missouri took the team title at its own tournament with an 857. Northern Illinois fired a 286 Tuesday to move up to second place with an 875. Austin Peay was third at 890.

Individually, Kyle Slattery led the Cougars with a 224 to finish 20th. Brady Dixon and Luke Long each finished at 225 to tie for 21st. Conor Dore tied for 27th with a 226. Danny Gorman tied for 51st with a 230.

Missouri's Linus Lilliedahl earned medalist honors with a 211 (-5). Erik Hedberg, of Austin Peay, and Missouri's Hayden Buckley tied for second at 212. The Tigers' Matt Echelmeier was fourth at 213.

The Cougars next travel to Muscle Shoals, Alabama for the Ohio Valley Conference Championship which begins Monday Apr. 24.
