Women's Tennis Held Off by Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. – The SIUE women's tennis team wrapped up its weekend of play with a 4-1 loss at Bradley Sunday. The Cougars dropped their match with UIC Saturday, 4-1.

It is the first win for Bradley (5-2) over SIUE (3-5) since the 2015 season.

SIUE's Ann-Christine Link won both her doubles and singles matches on the day. Link teamed up with Lara Tupper in No. 1 doubles, where the Cougars defeated Sandra Maletin and Natalia Barbery, 6-4.

The Cougars dropped both the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches.

In No. 5 singles, Link defeated Victoria Gonzalez, 6-0, 6-0. Tupper played her first No. 1 singles match of the season for the Cougars, going unfinished against Sandra Maletin, down 6-1, 4-3.

The Cougars will play host to Northern Illinois Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Edwardsville Y.
