Cape Girardeau, Mo. - The men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Missouri bootheel to run against SEMO, Memphis, UT Martin, and Eastern Illinois. The men started the day with an 8k race at 1:00pm. The men's team was highlighted with a top 10 finish by Roland Prenzer. Prenzler had a career best 8k run time of 25:11.8, good for a 7th place finish. Spencer Hielkema also set a new PR with a time of 26:35.8. Freshman Zach Walter and Blake Paganos competing for the first time, with times of 26:10.6 and 27:10.8.
The women's team took 4th place overall and was paced by Kassidy Dexheimer. Dexheimer ran an 8th place PR time of 18:32.2. Six freshman ran in their first collegiate 5k today.
