THE COUGARS: Play their second consecutive road contest with a Sunday visit to Loyola. 

BACK IN THE VALLEY: After playing four seasons in the Mid-American Conference, SIUE officially returns to the Missouri Valley Conference, where the Cougars played as affiliate members from 2010-2016. SIUE won a pair of tournament championships, one regular season championship and amassed a record of 25-13-7 in the MVC.

LAST TIME: SIUE struck for a season-high four goals Wednesday on its way to its first Missouri Valley Conference win of the season, a 4-0 blanking on the road at Evansville.

SERIES STUFF: SIUE is facing Loyola for the 12th time all-time. Loyola holds a 6-4-1 lead in the series, including a 3-2 advantage in MVC contests. SIUE and Loyola have not met since the 2018 season. 

SEVEN-UP: The Cougars have scored seven goals combined in their last two matches. They had scored a single goals in their previous four matches combined. 

LEADERS: At 1.67 goals per game, SIUE is the the third-highest scoring team in the Valley. The Cougars are third in total shots (97) and have generated the third most corners (37). Three SIUE players, Max Broughton, Pau Palacin and Alex Segura, are tied for fourth in the league with three goals each.  Kelby Phillips is tied for second in assists with four. He is 22nd Nationally in assists per game (.47). He is 40th in total assists.
