EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The first two dual meets of the SIUE wrestling season kick off Sunday in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Cougars compete against host Bellarmine at 11 a.m. CT followed by Indiana.

"We're interested to see where we are at as a team," said SIUE Head Coach Jeremy Spates.

SIUE has a number of familiar faces in the lineup and a handful of wrestlers who did not see much competitive time in last year's shortened season.

The lineup includes 2021 NCAA qualifier Saul Ervin at 141 pounds.

"We had some good offseason training and good preseason training," said Spates. "I feel like there are a few guys who haven't wrestled in a while so it's going to take them a little get to back. I feel like most of the guys are where they want to be this time of the year."
