THE COUGARS: Are making their seventh Missouri Valley Conference Tournament appearance. SIUE has two tournament championships and five appearances in the championship game. More on SIUE in the MVC Tournament is on page two. 

BACK IN THE VALLEY: After playing four seasons in the Mid-American Conference, SIUE returned to the MVC this season. The Cougars played as affiliate members in the league from 2010-2016. SIUE won a pair of tournament championships, one regular season championship and now has an overall record of 29-19-7 in the MVC.

LAST TIME: SIUE capped off ther regular season Saturday with a 2-0 win on the road at Drake to earn the No. 3 seed and the opportunity to host a quarterfinal game at Korte Stadium.

SERIES STUFF: SIUE is facing Bradley for the second time this season and the 21st time overall. The Braves swept the season series from the Cougars, including a 4-3 in Edwardsville Sept. 25.

CLEAN SHEET: The Cougars recorded three shutouts during league play including each of the last two games of the regular season. Coming into the tournament, the Cougars have kept opponents off the score board for 222:36.

LEADERS: SIUE remains the the third-highest scoring team in the Valley with 19 total goals (1.25 avg.). The Cougars are third in total shots (156) and have generated the fourth most corners (61). Alex Segura is tied for sixth in the league with four goals, while four SIUE players are among the Valley's top 10 in goals. 

OVERTIME: SIUE has played six overtime games this year (3-1-2). They played two last year and seven games in 2019. The school record for overtime games in a season is nine, in 2014 and 2016.

ONE-GOAL GAMES: SIUE is 4-7 in one-goal games this year. They are 7-9 in one-goal games over the last two seasons.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Segura picked up MVC Offensive Player of the Week honors Sept. 6. Segura netted the first two goals of his college career, including the overtime game-winner against Air Force.

NICE SAVE: Tor Erik Larsen had back-to-back shuouts to end the regular season. He made eight saves Saturday against Drake-which is a career high for his time at SIUE. Larsen leads the league in save percentage (.790) which ranks 21st in the NCAA. He is third in goals against average (1.04).
