Collectively, SIUE enjoyed its best offensive night, scoring a season-high 80 points while knocking down a season-best 52 percent of its shots. Last year, the team's season-best was 58 percent against Tennessee Tech and SIUE shot at least 50 percent in a game eight different times.

TAYLOR'S HOT START CONTINUES
Ray'Sean Taylor poured in a career-high 25 points Wednesday. That came after he picked up his second OVC Freshman of the Week Award Monday. He has now has four 20-point games this season. He is second  in the OVC in scoring at 17.8 points per game, which is fourth in the country among freshman. Taylor is missed last season with a torn right ACL. He is the all-time leading scorer at Collinsville High School with more than 2,100 points. He posted a 53-point game against Trinity (St. Louis) during his senior year.

TOP 10
Taylor buried a 35-foot, buzzer-beating three-pointer to lead SIUE to a 69-66 win over Youngstown State Nov. 20. The shot landed Taylor at No. 9 on Sportscenter's Top 10 that night.

10 IN A ROW
Taylor has scored in double figures in all 10 games he has played. The last player to have at least 10 straight games of double digit scoring was Jalen Henry, who finished the 2017-18 season with 18 straight.

TRIPLE-DOUBLE
Taylor has twice gotten within striking distance of a triple-double. At Creighton, he finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. At Omaha he had 13 points, nine rebounds and dished out a career-best 12 assists. SIUE has never had a player with a triple-double.
