Box Score PEORIA, Ill. - SIUE tennis closed out its four-match road trip with a loss at Bradley on Friday, dropping the Cougars to 4-3 on the season.
SIUE's Jordan Schifano continues her impressive debut campaign, as she took down her opponent in No. 2 singles to remain unbeaten in singles play. Schifano also paired with fellow true freshman Fabiola Perez in No. 1 doubles, where the duo fell, 6-3. Two Cougars - Perez and Callaghan Adams - took their opponents to three sets in singles play, but both dropped their respective final sets. Jill Lambrechts, Nicole Gomez, and Melissa Vizcardo each lost their singles fixtures in straight sets.
"I really like how we came out and fought in singles play after dropping the doubles point," said Head Coach Adam Albertsen. "We had a bunch of close matches, but still want to see us put it all together as a team."
The Cougars have a quick turnaround, returning home for a Sunday morning match against the UNI Panthers. Live stats will be available at SIUEStats.com.
