Murray, Ky. - The SIUE men's and women's teams finished second and third at the 2021 Murray State Open. The men competed in a field of six while the women competed in a field of seven. The Cougar mens team landed two competitors in the 8k top ten. Roland Prenzer finished third with a time of 26.29.6, and Zach Walters finished with a time of 26.57.7, good for ninth place.
The women's team was highlighted by two top ten finishers in the 5k race. Aly Goff (running unattached) ran a second place 18:48.6 and Kassidy Dexheimer finished 5th with a time of 19:33.8. Chessy Nikonowicz was edged out of the top ten with and 11th place finish of 20:08.1.
