LAST TIME
A lengthy run in the second half proved to the difference as Morehead State outlasted SIUE 77-74 to extend a home winning streak to 17 games. Morehead State built a 10-point lead midway through the first half, but SIUE fought back.
Cam Williams picked off a rebound after a Morehead State miss and heaved a half-court shot, which swished in as time expired to bring the Cougars within one (33-32) at the break.
Ray'Sean Taylor led SIUE with a career-best 26 points.
DeeJuan Pruitt finished one shy of his career high with 16 points. Carter and Doss each scored nine points.

SIUE is playing its 11th Ohio Valley Conference season. The Cougars are 54-120 in OVC play. Head Coach

SIUE is playing its third straight road game. The Cougars played eight of their first nine games away from home. SIUE has three road wins this season. Last season, SIUE set a new mark for road wins in a season in the Division I era with six.

Taylor has won the OVC Freshman of the Week award four times this season, incuding last week. He is the first SIUE player to win more than three weekly OVC awards in the same season.Â
CLAMPING DOWN
SIUE is one of the OVC's best defensive teams, allowing 68.6 points per game, which is third. Cougars' opponents shoot just .414 overall and .323 from three-point range. Both rank second in the league.
SHARP SHOOTERS
SIUE shot 46 percent against Belmont. It marked the 10th time this year that the Cougars have hit at least 45 percent of its shots in a game. SIUE connected on a season-high 52 percent of its shots Dec. 8 vs. Purdue Fort Wayne.
CRASHING THE BOARDS
The Cougars are second in the OVC at 38.3 rebounds per game, which is 66th in the NCAA. SIUE is third in total rebounds at 690. SIUE is second in the OVC in offensive rebounds at 12.6 a game, which is 33rd in the NCAA.
